Windberg paintings and drawings frequently utilise local materials such as earth pigments, ash and collected charcoal.  While there is a strong emphasis on realism, the works tend to have distinct textural qualities on closer inspection.  His landscape based artworks are a direct respose to the surrounding environment. Often including figures, they generally explore the theme of the uneasy interaction with, and intervention in, the Australian landscape.

If you'd like to know more about his works, ask about current exhibit locations or to inquire about commissioning new work, please contact Tony at the address and phone number below.

Not only is Tony an established artist, he is also a wonderful teacher.  He teaches TAFE classes in Pemberton and Northcliffe, has worked with indigenous artists in Cossack and has run summer school classes at the University of WA and the Albany Summer School.

Several residential art workshops have already happened at Watermark Kilns and Tony is planning more of the same. Get a group together and come painting in one of Tony's classes. You’ll see the forest with new eyes and gain confidence and expertise in highly enjoyable working sessions.
